Smt. Rubi Mallick Goswami (Dhrupad Vocalist)

Smt. Rubi Mallick Goswami belongs to the illustrious musical family of the Darbhanga Gharana (Mallick Gharana), representing the 13th generation of musicians in their family. Her training in Dhrupad music started at an early age under the guidance of her guru and father, Padma Shri Pt. Ram Kumar Mallick, a world-renowned Indian Classical vocalist. She had the privilege of learning from her grandfather, the late Pt. Vidur Mallick, a world-renowned Dhrupad legend.

She was awarded the Gold Medal (President Award) in the National All India Radio music competition in the field of Dhrupad Music in 1999. She completed Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, with first division in the year 2000, as well as Sangeet Bhaskar from Prachin Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, with first division in the year 2010. She has mastered not only Dhrupad but also Khyal, Bhajan, Vidyapati Geet, and more.

She is a regular broadcaster for All India Radio and Television and is a well-known "A" Grade Artist of AIR & TV in Dhrupad. She has successfully performed at many prestigious music festivals all over India.
